Our Crowdfunding Campaign is HERE..........
We have launched our opportunity for you to help us fund our Regenerative Micro Dairy cheese make room. It is an "all or nothing" campaign that will end 11th December 7:52am
We've been hard at work developing a different kind of dairy. Now, we need your help to set up our cheese make room so that we can bring Lakey Farm Cheese to life!
Our regenerative microdairy at Ingliston will keep calves and kids with their mothers. We'll use a mobile milking station which will follow the animals as they graze the diverse native and exotic pastures, allowing their waste to remain in the paddocks where it will break down and improve soil quality. This unique approach will enable us to look after our animals and improve the health of our ecosystem while we make delicious and nutritious dairy products for our community.
We're nearing the final phase of our micro dairy project, and we need your help! This crowdfunding project will allow us to complete our cheese make room so that we can turn our regenerative goat and cow's milk into delicious cheese for Victorians to enjoy!
REGENERATIVE FARMING
At Lakey Farm, we are converting CO2 into soil carbon by our judicious regenerative farming. Crash grazing with high stocking rates, rotational mixed grazing, respecting native pasture, cover cropping, native tree revegetation and wildlife corridors, and use of dung beetles.
We raise livestock
We graze the pasture
We farm the soil

Rotational Grazing
Livestock are moved through our paddocks, the rotations are timed to allow native grasses and forbs to flower and set seed
